Automated Medicine Dispenser

Overview

This device allows the user to automatically dispense their medicine bottle to them upon snoozing their alarm in the morning. The device triggers from a shortcut programmed into an iPhone that flashes the light for 1 second upon stopping an alarm. The photoresistor inside the phone stand senses this light signal and tilts out the medicine holder for the user to take. The user’s action of taking the medicine or putting it back is sensed via the optical proximity sensor built into the medicine holder. In addition to this base functionality, the phone stand also comes with a built in wireless charger as well as rainbow lights that flash in a rainbow sequence while the user is taking their medicine.
