Who Am I?

There are many different ways I could answer this question, but I’ll start off with the important stuff first. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. and M.S. both in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout my time there, I had many different roles including diver, teaching assistant, and researcher. While I have always had a wide range of interests, I fell particularly in love with robotics and controls when working on projects like the Tilt to Drive controller and the Multi-Agent Construction Gantry. Working on these projects throughout undergrad inspired me to pursue a masters degree where I could focus on these topics with more rigor. During graduate school, I pursued mostly controls focused courses spanning topics like robust control, optimal control, and controls integration on hardware with some mechatroncis courses scattered throughout. I found an equal amount of joy from designing controllers and debugging them on hardware.

In terms of academic interests, I have a passion for all things controls (as mentioned above haha) as well as mechatronic design and systems integration. I have had lots of experience getting things to work most notably the New Quadruped Platform I worked on in the CMU Robomechanics lab for about 2 years. I was able to see this project from it’s initial conception through to its first time standing.

Outside of academic interests, I am a very active person! I have been an athlete throughout my life including collegiate diving, so I enjoy being outside, going for mountain bike rides, and all things acrobatics. Outside of athletics, I love to listen to music, talk to people, and find new hobbies to do with other people!
